The Meadow Creek addiction treatment center is a women’s 50-bed facility located in Pine City, Minnesota. Just an hour outside of the Twin Cities, Meadow Creek offers a peaceful campus feel as it sits amongst the fields and forest. For women 18-years-old and older, Meadow Creek is a place where women can come to realize their full potential. We understand the unique challenges you face.
Staffed by professionals with the ability to treat both substance use and mental health needs, we customize treatment plans to help foster healthy living and coping skills for every person, ensuring each leaves with the skills to thrive in a new life of recovery. Your team may consistent of the following:
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- Mental Health Professional
- Alcohol and Drug Counselor (supervised)
- Registered Nurse
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
Your treatment team meets formally on a weekly basis but have daily meetings to discuss your progress in meeting clinical milestones so that your treatment plan can be adjusted to make sure you are progressing with your treatment goals. Your team of licensed professionals use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Twelve Step Facilitation and Motivational Interviewing.
Each person’s treatment plan and length of time in treatment will vary, but core treatment components may include the following:
- A thorough assessment of your mental health, substance use history and medical needs.
- Medication assisted treatment as needed. This can be used to address any ongoing medical needs but to also reduce withdrawal symptoms and ease cravings.
- 1:1 sessions with your counselor
- Group therapy which could include the following:
- Life skills
- Mental health education
- Family education
- Concerned persons (for loved ones 12 and above)
- Relapse prevention
- Substance Use Disorder education
- Primary groups (with your counselor and peer group)
- Women’s empowerment
- Focus group
- Recreational therapy with activities like walks, crafts, self-care conversations, basketball, volleyball, badminton, campfires, corn hole and more. All so that you can learn to have fun without the use of substances
- Case management and discharge planning
In addition to treatment services, we provide coordination of services with outside professionals. We can help you get registered for college classes or help you obtain your GED. We will help coordinate CPS visits or host virtual meetings with your kids. If you are pregnant, we will initiate medical care, get you insured, as well as arrange for prenatal classes, vitamins and birthing classes.
